İbrahim Özaydın Vocational and Technical High School, , is a vocational school founded in 1994 and situated in Hadımköy town in Arnavutköy being one of the new districts of Istanbul. Although Hadımköy is thought that it is old residential area and quite far from Istanbul, it is a town which has been developing by the influence of three large industrial regions in the last decade,  but it has not reached the same development in the socio economic zone yet. Two out of three of Hadımköy's population consist of the citizens migrating from any regions of Turkey. The folks who reside here, are mostly from low income group that works at factories as a qualified or unqualified workers. Since we are the only vocational high school in Hadımköy region ( the closest vocational school distant is 14 km) , education in our school has been shaped within the frame of both the interests and abilities of the students and the needs of the industries around us 
Our school has 7 different ongoing departments. They are :

         Information Technologies, Electric and Electronic Technologies Office Management, Accounting and Finance, Marketing and Retail, Chemistry Technologies, Graphic and Photography.

              Besides, Technic al education has been being implemented In Electric and electronic and Information Technologies  departments.  Our school has been proceeding its education with 82 teachers and 5 administrators in total. Most of the teachers are new and young teachers who have been experiencing in their first 5 years in teaching here.  Currently, 1076 students have been having education in our school and all students in 12th grade, have been attending their Skill Education in Business. Technical Department students do their internship in summer break.  Because of the region that we are in, our school, being the neighbour with three large industrial regions, cooperates with the companies closely.

           From the beginning of 10th grade, our students constantly attend the technical tours of Industries / Companies and  they get pretty good experience about their departments with the internship which is done in summer break for 12th grades, and the other works for the students except 9th grades in both semester and summer break. In addition to this, employment is guaranteed for the certain students after graduation, in consequence of the protocols made with various industries

         At the end of these 4 years, students attend the Skill Exam dealing with their profession, it is assessed according to the National standards as much as possible ( the questions are selected by considering the criteria of Professional Competency Board.)
Moreover, the experts who work at the industries or companies in related deparments get involved in the comittee and validity of the exam is increased.

            Our school keeps the relationship with the industries up to date .  Within this scope, the needs analysis is applied in the industries in our region through the meeting with them regularly and the curriculum is shaped according to the results of the needs.

            Thus, the education that the students have, is getting more qualified and employability is being enhancing after graduation.

            Every year, School- Industry Collabrotaion Workshop arranges in order to increase the quailty of education in the field of vocational and technical in the spring months and learning content are uptaded in accordance with the opinions and suggestions of authorities in business.

            Our school also organizes some sportive and artistic activities promoting the personal development of the students as well as the academic and vocational education.

            Our students attending individual and team sports had some degrees in sport branch in Istanbul and Turkey all across. In the branch of art,  activities are arranged for students' works and performance every year.

            Apart from these, our school is certainly involved in national and international projects. 

            In Erasmus plus project called as "Recycling and Artistic Creation" accepted in 2015 and completed successfuly in 2017 and carried out by coordinator country, France,  our students had produced great works relating to using recycling and artistic creation.  At the end of the project, the all works which were created by students were exhibited in all partner countries.
